Default 1964 Rear end paint markings

Hello,does anyone have pictures of a 64 rear end differential that has the correct paint markings on it they can post,Thanks,BobW

The only paint marking on a midyear diff is on the pinion yoke - was supposed to be aligned with a similar mark on the driveshaft.

John, when I cleaned my diff during my 64's frame repair, I found a slathering of yellow paint at the fill plug as well as the paint mark you show above, except that one was the same yellow; not the blue in your pic.

I don't have a clue what the "correct" color is - probably depended on how the General Stores Crib attendant at Warren Gear & Axle felt on a particular day; the photo is from a friend's '67 restoration a couple of years ago.
