Default Need help with codes

I'm researching the codes on my dad's 65 vert. Body: A-1284, Paint: MM, style: D23 19.
Is there a web site I can go to to decipher them?

here's a nice trim tag reference, although for a 66:

as for your codes, I suspect that "D23" is stamped in the area of your "style" field, but that it is the Body Build date code, in that case being November 23rd, 1964. MM is Milano Maroon of course, and the body number with an "A" (along with how the paint code is expressed) tells us that it is an A.O. Smith built body.

For 65 I believe the body A 1284 is in reference to date. AO Smith and St Louis bodies were all reference the same letter. A I believe is for bodies built up to Aug 1964. The letter system continued up to the letter L for July65.

The "A" prefix on A.O. Smith body numbers and the "S" prefix on St. Louis body numbers strictly ID's where they were built, and the body number after it is the sequential number of that body built at each location. Convertibles had a separate number sequence from coupes, and both sequences started at "1". The only date indication on the trim tag is the 3-character body build date code in the upper left hand corner.
