Anyone ever have a problem with a 3267A needle not being able to hold aganist a hi-performance mechanical Chevy fuel pump. This one has me baffled, tried everything still cannot get an adjustment on the front float that will hold aganist fuel pump.

Float does not leak the only way to stop the bowl from overflowing is to nail the float to the bottom of the Bowl. Then the eventually bowl runs out of gas, its a vicious cycle and I go nuts trying to figure it out.
By the way I have tried new floats, both brass and solid plastic, both react the same.
I have not measured it but if the rear float does not have a problem, isn't the pressure on both needles the same?
We see this all the time. Install a fuel pressure regulator between the pump and the carb inlet. I recommend the holley regulator. Do not use the cheap push-down-and-turn regulators sold in most parts stores. They eventually leak. locate the regulator as close to the carb as space and heat allows. Set the fuel pressure to 3 psi to start with. The holley regulator has an additional port for a fuel pressure gauge. Even if you do not want to mount it externally, a small gauge in this port comes in handy instead of using temporary test gauges to set/monitor it.
If it's a brass float, have you checked it for cracks?
I use a 5-7psi purolator pump that delivers almost a gallon per minute (more than Chevy spec) and I have no problems. The chassis service manual tune up spec requires 5-6.5psi from a v8 pump.
