Engine Assembly Stamp Question
My '65 L79 has:
Casting: 3782870
Casting Date: D285
Assembly: F05I3HT
I recall someone mentioning in a prior thread that it has been observed that "I" and "1" were used intermittently in the assembly stamp code. Can anyone confirm this?

yes, I understand that 1 and I were used interchangeably in engine assembly code stamps.
you have an '870 block (correct), assembled in a 350 hp, mt configuration (HT) on May 13 and the block was cast on April 28, 1965 (nice, typical spread).
