There are PLENTY of Muncie sources out there. BUT, trust me, there are none finer, or better to do business with than Larry Fischer of D and L Transmission. NONE! I have been rebuilding Muncies (and other 4spds such as T-10s) for nearly 40yrs. I've bought parts from almost everywhere (including Chev when Muncie parts were still available), and by far, Larry is my favorite person to do business with http://www.dandltransmission.com/
Give him a call and tell him I referred you.
Larry re-built my borg warner T-10... and nothing could shift smoother and finer..great guy to do business with and he lives only 10 miles from me.. nice shop set up and great reliable parts

Not to Hijack this thread, but what makes a Muncie pop out of 4th while crusing or decelerating?????? Mine used to and my father rebuilt it with a kit and it works. My buddys got rebuilt also but still does it??????????? Thanks Gordon.
Could be the linkage adjustment but I doubt it. More likely worn gear engagement teeth and sliders. If not the linkage, time for a rebuild. If your engagement teeth are marginal, torque lock sliders will help retain the teeth a bit and lower the chance of popping out. If you're not sure what I'm referring to, I have pictures.

Thanks Brian.... I do seem to remember my dad not liking one of the gears on his trans but he was a cheap kind of guy...

Apparently my first post gave the impression to someone I disliked muncie4speed.com. Let me CLARIFY before this gets out of hand .. I don't know muncie4speed.com, have never dealt with muncie4speed.com. As far as I know it's a fine place for parts. I was just looking for more / different internal pictures than I had found. THERE IS NO NEED FOR ANYONE TO GET THEIR FEATHERS RUFFLED!!!
