Highly Modified '66

Tail lights were interesting.
Doors open with remote-activated solenoids.
Engine? Those valve covers suck. I have the same aftermarket A/C in my car, and I didn't have to chop off the front corner of the cover and do a CRAPPY reweld job.
POOR EFFORT from someone whose is relying on his past reputation and expects us to ooh and aah at any crap he now puts out because it's a 'Boyd Coddington' custom.
Let's get in the truck and go kick his butt. The beer's on me.
OK, then I'll have to retract any slanderous remarks linking Boyd's shop with this creation, but I still feel the same about the vette, the lame, lazy attempt to do a custom C2, and my opinion of Coddington's work as of late. After seeing some of the shows about his shop, I realized alot of negative things about his management and efforts in his shop. Frankly, after seeing the show, I would never take anything of mine to have his shop touch it.
I'll still drive to go get some beer!
Yes, I understand Boyd didn't do this one, but after seeing the shows, I agree with the above statement. The best people he had working there are gone. Chip and Mike! You all know how I feel about customized '66's, but this is just poor design.
The best feature on this car, IMHO, is the tail light across the back. A very clean look from the rear, but those flairs look 'stuck on', not blended into the body lines, and those running boards? What were they thinking when they slapped them on? I think we all agree on the hood.
The interior is very clean, but too steril, and the dash doesn't work (again in my HO). Can't figure out what they were trying to accomplish with this thing. $59,000? Not from me. You asked. That's what I think of it.
Somebody might fall in love with it and get something for much less than it would take to build it themselves...

Noelga, long time no hear from. I used to use the name Robert D. Verbois on this forum but switched in late 99 to 67ratrag. You and I joined about the same time originally. There have been many who have come and gone since then, so I am glad to see you are still around.
I checked out your car and can see what you've been up to. I have property up around Clayton, so next time I come to GA, I'll give you a holler.
