Anyone out there had to hook up the cables on their C1 wipers? I have a '56 and the wiper cables have been disconnected since I've had the car. Any instructions, hints or "where to look for instructions" would be great.
You do want a book on this. Noland's book is probably very good. The ST-12 should also cover it.
They're tricky. You release the tension on them to loosen them to get them on by pushing down on the output shaft and pulling on the cables at the same time. That's the way they work. Except they never do because that's all rusty and frozen. So you need to free that up first. The diagram is necessary because one of them, the passenger side I believe, goes in with a twist in the cables. You'd never know that by just looking at them.
