Power Steering Conversion Kits
Does anyone know if the "original type" power steering conversion kit offered by dealers like Corvette Central will work in a midyear with headers and a ZZ4? Has anyone done this conversion with a smallblock and headers?

I have a kit from Zip, looks ok and fits good but haven't fired up the 383 yet. My headers are from Hedman. The passenger side rubs slightly against the idler arm but still ok. I have a March serpentine belt system which included the stock p/s pump on my 383 (now I have 2 pumps). I remember the car back in the 70's without p/s, it was a bear to steer at slow speeds. I'm looking forward to the p/s and the P/b that I added.

CorvetteSteering.com offers a bolt-in power steering box that doesn't use the ram and valve setup. It's a lot more compact.
Also some people are getting great results using a power steering box from a Jeep Cherokee.
There are simple alternatives that can be employed if space or complexity are issues.
