Header side pipe repair question????
I have a set of stal header side pipes that have finally rusted through in the collector web area where the 4- 2 1/4 primary tubes come together.
Has anyone had any luck trying to fix them?
They've been on my car since 1968 and fit much better than Hooker or Doug Thorley. I really want to keep them.

I think you got your money's worth. Joking aside, if it rusted through there I'm sure trying to patch weld or whatever technology is used will be a waist of time and money. The surrounding area is probably ready to go. Check her on the forum search since many guys have headers into sidepipes, including myself, and you will find the right make and model for replacement. Mine are Hedman into factory sidepipes, but are only 11-12 years old. Get new ones with the Jet Hot coating, they look great and last many years.

Stahl is still in business. I believe he is only building custom applications now but you could check.
