Default Headlight Motor

Has anyone ever had a problem where the headlight motor seems weak, brushes are good armature is clean. But, motor will sometimes not have enough torque to roll headlights, even though the everything is moves easily.
Thanks,

wouldn't hurt to check electrical connections at motor and ground as a dirty or loose connection would not allow motor to pull full current which would = low power.

Clean ALL the connections in the rollover circuit, including the bulkhead connector, the circuit breaker behind the left kick panel, the switch connector and even the battery. Disassemble the switch and clean the contacts. Wireing diagram is in your chassis service manual.

If it's both headlight motors, also clean the connections at the circuit breaker and dash switch, and inside the fuse block multiple connector.

Charlie you say that they rotate freely. I take it you've had the motor out and rotated the bucket to make sure it's actually free... I had my motors out last year and then started to have a problem with one.. It turned out the pivot ball had started to become stiff... Dave..

Looks like the consenus is electrical connection, I tend to agree, well all will be cleaned this weekend.
By the way with the motor out the pivot is very free, no resistance at all.
Thanks,
Charlief
