Default prep cooling system for winter storage?

My '66 L-79 is kept in a garage during the Massachusetts winter months. I've changed the oil, filled and stablized the gas, and inflated the tires to minimize problems as it sits. I'm wondering what the best practice is for the cooling system. 50/50 antifreeze? Water pump lube? The car will not experience below freezing temps. Thanks

Oh and what about the brake fluid too? Should that be flushed?

Wait until Spring. A few months is no big deal. The main reason to change is that the additives get used up. The antifreeze doesn't get used up. But the additives aren't so critical in storage. One of the additives is water pump lubricant. And you won't be needing that additive while the car is in storage, 'cause you're not running the pump.

Same thing with the brake fluid. Change it now if the recommended change date will fall in the period when the car is in storage. But a few months is no big deal. A few years is no big deal. Chevy doesn't have a service recommendation for changing the brake fluid on a '66. By changing the brake fluid, you're giving the car better care than Chevrolet recommended. I agree with you that it needs to be done. But a few months won't matter.
