I am trying to locate a switch, that evidently fits on my emergency brake assembly, which illuminates the "brake light" on my instrument panel when pulled.
I have the wiring harness extension leads ... but it requires the switch as well.
I have tried the usual places (Corvette Central, Ecklers, etc.) but to no avail.

This is for a 1960 Corvette !!!
Thoughts Anyone?

These are not reproduced and are a bit hard to come by. Mary Jo Rhoner in Ca. will likely have one. Hang on to your wallet with both hands. Also, if you are a NCRS member, the Driveline will ocassionally list one.
I have a 59 and my switch went bad also. I thought about going to the local NAPA dealer or Auto Zone. They still carry some parts for our cars. Most people don't think about the local parts dealers. If they don't have one they can probably get one. I'll check and let you know. If you find one B4 I do, please let me know.
I'll try and go by NAPA on wednesday.
Thanks George

Hello Vaughn,
As I mentioned I am working on my e brake switch also. When I took mine out, there wasn't any flasher wired in. Is the flasher wired in the switch or is it a serarate component? I am going by NAPA tomorrow to see if they can get me one.

Unfortunately, you won't find a switch at NAPA. This is not to say that with some imagination a generic switch might not be rigged up. The flasher is a separate unit on older cars, but the 61-62's used a flashing bulb which is easier to wire,

U R right NAPA does not have one. I am going to call keen.com tomorrow. Looking on their web site, doesn't show one, but they may have one not identified.
Why do we need one that flashes? To be original? I would like to haave one that works. Any ideas on where I can find one?

You can probably get one from Mary Jo Rhoner, or possibly Paragon or Chicago Corvette. Just like a heater switch, it will be expensive. You might ocassionally find one on ebay or in NCRS Driveline.
The original flashed, but it isn't necessary unless you just want to be correct. Flashing is easily done by using a 61-62 style bulb.
