I've used a company in Fresno, Ca called Cap's Brite hot coatings. They have a system called ceraKrome coatings. I really like their product. Much brighter and it holds up and doesn't dull out like others I've used. I've also used it on intake manifolds and it looks like it's polished all the time with no maintanence! You can look at their website at www.capsbhc.com, Regards, Marv

I've been very pleased with the work Jet-Hot did for me. They had a quick turn-around. I had my intake and exhaust manifolds done in "Sterling". It was two separate transactions and both off went without a hitch.
Can these places do a ceramic or jet hot coating on used headers?
I mean, will they blast and coat or do they prefer new steel?
I was just going to get a new set of ceramic coated, but I'm thinking about re-using my hookers since there is nothing wrong with them and they fit my engine bay well. They are white and the aluminizing scratches off easily.

Talk to Jet-Hot and they'll send you a video showing their process. They clean your parts [gotta or the stuff won't stick and last] and back their work with a 3 year warranty. Naturally, they'd rather have new parts to work with - less work for them.
The manifolds came back looking just as good on the inside as on the outside.
Since your in VA, give East Coast Powdercoat a call at 410-287-6200. I've talked with them and am planning on using them to ceramic coat my headers/side-pipes (as soon as I get all the welds dressed and ready to go).
Thanks Greg your car has come a long ways, what a awesome looking motor, if it runs have as good as it looks it will be a screamer. Have you evert used East Coast powder coat?
Not yet, this set will be the first, but I was pleased with talking with them about what they could do so plan to give them a try. I used to use Sermatech when I was in California, but they are a little too far to drive now.

They also have a coating facility in newburry park so they have pretty good turn around time. I have had some parts coated from them and I have been fairly pleased. saving the shipping and packaging makes them somewhat economical.
There is also a soda blasting shop in oxnard, Anacapa Soda Blasting 805-981-0748 that does a great job at a great price cleaning things up before you coat, paint or powder coat.
Robert,
Thanks. Will add them to my list. I actually went over to a place I heard about on the Cobra forum and from some of the people at the Santa Paula Cruise Nights called XTreme Coating here in Camarillo. They were great and had them done in a couple days. Manifolds look like new and I would recommend them to anyone.
i just dropped off a set of new Hedman headers for my '61, after I welded some O2 bungs in the collectors, at Jet-Hot. Mostly becuase they are 2 miles from where I live in Tempe.
I will get them back next week. Everything I saw there looked good, though, but I will post a follow up after i get them back
