I'm contemplating replacing the interior in my 66 and was wondering if Al Knochs interior parts (ie; door panels, seat covers, carpet) or any better than interior parts you could purchase from Covette Central, Corvette America or any of the other Corvette parts dealers?
Seecar;
The wife and I are starting to install a new Leather Bright Blue interior in our '66. We ordered it all from Mid America, but it came from other suppliers. The seat covers came from Al Knocks. The materal and workmanship look just fine. I think if I would do this again that I would just order from Al direct, May save time if there is a problem, the seat covers came in the wrong color and I had to deal with Mid America--No real problem just tiook a little more time. the Al Knoch stuff is top quality. You can also contach Wally Knoch who is a forum member and typically get it at a discounted price less than buying direct from Al.
Was at Pomona Calif Swap meet yesterday, saw Al Knoch's exhibit and retail area, his staff was all over a 65 or 66 roadster under a tent replaceing the interior and to rag top, looked great , very impressive...
I just ordered a brand new Al KNoch top for the 57 from Steve Bowe of Bowe Chevrolet. He is an Al Knoch Dealer too. He was more than helful, and saved me well over 50 dollars off the entire package. He also is very knowledgeable about Corvettes.
Hi-
I'm new to the Forum and would like to know how to reach Walter Knoch to order a new interior and top for my '64.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Contact phone # or email?
Thanks!
