Default [Project L89-pics] Engine installed.

Well, we finally got around to getting the motor installed last night. It took some time and effort, but we finally got the motor with the tranny attached in there. Now, just need to get some parts back on it, and the rest of it all together.

Here are a couple snap shots right after bolting up the motor mounts.

I'll get some more on the progress this week. I need to work on getting the exhuast on, rebuilding the distributor, carbs and fuel lines installed, etc....

Thanks for taking a look.

Rob

Default Sweeeeeeeeet!

Can't wait to see her in all her glory with carbs, linkage, and sidepipes hooked up.

Don't foget to let me know if you need help with wrenching.

And most importantly, send me an invite to the 'fire-up' party!

Hey Bud, we were thinking about you last night as we wrestled with it. I had Michael & Kyle there turning wrenches and helping out. It was a good time.

Trust me, you're on the short list for the initial fire up gathering.

I'd love to hear that thing running through those sidepipes. Bet you set off car alarms with it.

Dennis, it's a long shot, but I have a VERY lofty goal of driving it up to Carlisle this year. Being in the Northeast, I figured that may be a show you attend?

Body work and paint have to come first, so we'll have to wait and see.

Harps BB sure looks sweet!! All my luck, you took the load leveler off before you took the picture. What were your 4 mounting points on the engine. I'm thinking the 2 rear use bellhousing bolts and what about the front 2?

Sure appreciate a point in the right direction. Thanks - Rollin

Rollin, I am not sure if it was right, but I had to use the head bolt holes to lift it. The Lakewood bellhousing doesn't have much clearance, so I didn't think I was going to be able to get the chains off the rear of it if I used two of those holes.

Thanks guys for the feedback on it.

I have run into a problem with everything lining up though. I'll probably post a question in a minute about that.
