I am considering purchasing a clock for my 63 roadster. The previous owner removed the original clock and inserted a c-4 logo where the clock was.Try to picture how silly it looks. At this point, I don't even care if the clock works. I just want to look right. I found a few on ebay, but they weren't specifically for a 63. Will any mid-year fit properly? Also, is there anyplace other than ebay that sells clocks. Even if it doesn'twork, there is someone local that will restore it for me for under $100. As alway's I appreciate the help that I receive from this forum.
Here's some of my experiences with a 62 mechanical clock:
1) started by thinking I would repair it myself; suggested overview article is page 27 of the Auto Restorer, July 2005 (this is not corvette specific; there may be better corvette specific references).
2) decided restoring my self was not the ticket, so searched and found a number of repair shops, including The Clock Works (www.clockwks.com).
3) ended up buying a reconditioned original from the vette gal (www.vettegal.com). First one received had a problem, but was replaced without problem, and replaced clock works great.
I have no association with any of the above. Hope this helps.
Thanks, for the replies.Checked out vettegal website. Doesn't seem to have anything for a mid-year. Seems like she only has parts for 55 to 62. If I understand clockworks, they can only help you if you already have a clock and want it restored. I'll keep looking.

It's a very easy job to install a quartz movement in a mid year clock. It only took me 45 minutes from start to finish. Do get a 1963 clock, it will look much better in you car, than a clock of another mid year car.
