I' am interested in purchasing a soft top kit, wiring harness and other misc goodies for my 1961. Would it be better to wait and check the shows at Pamona,CA, or Carlie, PA. as I am visiting the shows in 2006.... I am in no hurry and i have checked the prices of most of the top vendors on line.
Aloha
Rich
I've had good experience using both options. For example got a good discount on a new soft top, including installation, from Al Knoch's team at Spring Carlisle. But purchased a new gas tank from the big shops to make sure I got the right one. Good luck, and let us know what you decide to do, and show us the before and after pictures.
What are the "can't miss" corvette shows (gatherings) What about the south, St. Louis etc. Would like to go to one or two this year. What about the largest swap meet, project car sales?
Carlisle in Pa. is the largest. Great area to vacation in - Harley factory, Gettysburg, Hershey, Amish country, etc...many things to do along with the show. Largest in the South ? Probably Corvette Expo in Knoxville, TN. just do a search for the dates in 2006.

While you are in York at the Harley factory don't forget to find the GAST auto museum. Nice display of various autos.
