Frame is back from the welder. I had the rear section cut out and replaced it with a section that another forum member sent me. I am so thankful for this forum and the generosity of its members. Looking pretty good now!!! Next it is off to get dipped and powdercoated.
frame is looking good......where are you gettting it dipped and how much is it? how much is the powder coating costing? what color are you having it coated?
When you are done with the powder coating and whatever else you are going to do.... will it be obvious to the naked eye that the two frames have been spliced?
Nice repair. If you are anywhere near Tampa, there is a powdercoat shop not too far from Bush Gardens. He does nice work. He has done most of my interior trim etc. I had my frame repaired and coated at Van Steel. Great job. Where are you located in FL? Jerry
I will probably take a little filler to the area after i have it powdercoated then hit it with a little krylon. I'm not too worried about it-i plan on still driving the car when i am finished.

Looking very nice! Another one saved! It always feels good to erase Bubba's handy work.
Just a tip here, you can apply Evercoats Metal to Metal filler before PC. It is designed to withstand the 400 deg. temps. Normally they bead blast before PC and you don't want the filler on before that. But you can apply it after and it will stick good to the metal after the beads profile the metal. Just a thought.
