help decoding this 65 coupe please
style 19-437 A-1815
trim std
paint f-f
motor 3782870 Foi25ht
I know it is a 65 coupe standard black vinyl interior and the motor
is a 327/350. The paint is Nassau blue.
What I don't know is if it is a date correct motor for this car. I don't know what A-1815 means or F0i25ht (ht being 327/350). Any help out there? Also #333 ???
Thanks,,,,,,,,Ken

the number 333 if it is stmaped on the vin tag after DD which stands for date of delivery should be March 3 but I don’t understand why three threes. That makes no sense

Are you sure that the three numbers on the trim tag are 333? If it is located just to the left of the "Detroit Michigan" embossing, it is the body build date and should be a letter, that designates the month followed by two digits that designate the day. If it is not in this location, and is stamped instead of being embossed on the trim tag, it is probably the dealer stamped delivery date, but like Nowhere Man said "I don’t understand why three threes. That makes no sense".

The person selling the car gave me those numbers. He claims the car is a numbers matching car. He states built in Flint Michigan #333. I am trying to confirm the motor matches as I know it is the correct 327 but is it the original motor that came with the car?
Thanks,
Ken

I'll try and ask the owner. He posted this information on his web site.
Thanks, Ken

Ask the seller to give you the block casting date located on the block just behind the right head. It will be a letter followed by 2 or 3 digits.
The 333 is the Three Hundred and Thirty Third car off
the assembly line. Got this info through Specialty Auto
Sales in Benicia Califronia after giving them the
casting number of block. The block casting number
3782870 id S0i25HT production number 5110389.
The add id was F0i25ht the first time so I don't know if the S0i25ht is a typo this second time around.

333 must be Urban Myth because the 333rd car of the assembly line, if it was a coupe, would have a serial number of 194375S100333 and would have been built in Sept. of 1964. The 333 may be marked on the body and designate the job number of the build for the day and doesn't mean a thing as far as the asssembly date of the car.
You still need to know the block casting date and the body build date code stamped on the trim tag.

Sent another email for date code and where the #333 was located. I will post as soon as I find out.
Thanks,
Ken
