Default Vette prep...

After a few day of elbow grease the body has been taken down to the glass. Very happy with the body, just a few small areas of previous repair. I'm not sure who was more relieved, me, my wife or the body man.

Looks great. What did you use to strip it? chemical, media blast or sanding? How long did it take you?

Excellent body if the rest of it looks even close to that rear quarter shot.

63Rayfan, I used a razor for a couple days to remove the 2 layers of paint along with 2 layers of primer. It came off super easy right down to the original factory brown primer. My bodyman then took over and sanded the rest off by hand, about three days worth.

Glen, the body looks great. I wish mine looked that well. In my case the old saying was true. Paint can hide a multitude of sins. How long is the paint process scheduled to take? Jerry

Yes, when I was scraping the old paints off i had my fingures crossed, turned out o.k. I'm going to the shop on thursday to pay him some more money. They have bills and payroll to pay every couple of weeks and I also figure partial payment for work performed is a bit of a carrot to keep him motivated. As far as completion goes I told him I have March off so I want it home by then so I can put it back together.
