I have a 67 BB car and I am running about 210 degrees on my Temperature gage is this correct for a BB or should It be cooler. This is my first BB corvette and I don't want to burn it up

180-220 is the normal operating spectrum.

Is it going right to 210 after it has been running for a few minutes?

IF so, you may have a 210 degree Thermostat, in which case if that bothers you, you could change it for about $8.49 to a 180 degree thermostst!

The engine Temp stays right around 210 after its been driven. I didn't know they made a 210 degree thermostat. I might take your suggestion and chage it to a 180 degree thermostat

Thanks

I would suggest you get and IR gun and determine the real temp before changing parts. My gauge reads about 220 (with fresh sending unit and 180 thermostat) when in fact its 185 by the IR gun.

I spent weeks (and a 7 page thread of help!) fighting a hi-temp problem on my car only to find out there was nothing wrong at all other than a temp sender unit that went bad and the aftermarket replacement unit was reading 30-40* too high!
As soon as I bought an IR temp gun and shot the motor to get the real temp reading I found out everything was fine.
Also, if your car is running somewhat hot after checking it with an IR temp gun, check your fan clutch and make sure it's working right.

i bought mine at my local NAPA store but i'm sure any decent autoparts store around you has them or can get one for you.
If all else fails, Tom sells them as an accessory and you can find them on his website I believe (DeWitte Radiators)

They range in price from approx $79-$99. I got mine on sale for $79 if I remember correctly.

you can see me using mine here on my website - the last pic on the page:
