Default 59 paint code

Hi,

It's time to repaint the interior of our 59, was done about 18 years ago and the paint is chipping and looks crappy. Last time we painted it you could still go to the paint store and give them the car info and they mixed the paint, perfect match to the color chart. Not anymore. Been to 4 different paint suppliers and no one can get a modern code for the paint. Something about one of the code tints is no longer available(?) Anyway short of taking a piece of the interior and having it matched and then maybe getting lucky that it will be right has anyone used a modern paint that would be close to 1959 turquoise metallic enamel that was used on the interior. Since we are redoing the entire interior we won't need to worry about matching existing paint. In 59 they called it Crown Sapphire in 60 it was called Tasco Turquoise but I think they were one in the same. Thanks for any help.

Try this link.... I used the information to get my car painted... Didn't use the Turquoise (although that is the original interior for my car also... I just wanted a different color).

Two completely different colors. Make sure you get the one you want.

Default Try these guys......

I ordered 65 ralley red lacquer paint in spray cans to redo my interior exactly like the factory. It was an exact match. I would think they would have no problems with 59 colors also:

Make sure you also get the primer and prep your parts well for the best results. Take your time!
