White convertible top cleaning
Hi, Any suggestions how to clean a white convertible top? It seems to be moldy type stains on it. I tried simple green but had no luck. While I'm asking any suggestions on cleaners for the engine compartment and undercarriage? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Melting Slicks
I have not tried the Bon Ami, but I just did my top on my '71 this fall with Wesley's Bleach White. (The whitewall cleaner). I know it's not good for your paint, so I laid bath towels around the rear deck, over the doors with the windows down, on the windshield, etc. I used a small brush and worked a small (1'x1') area at a time and then used wet hand towels to wipe off the just cleaned area, wringing them out often with clean water. That way I didn't have to use a hose and rinse it off. I also tried to keep it off the rear window. I was very pleased with how it looked afterwards, it had gotten yellowed and dingy looking over the last few years, and I had tried many other cleaners without sucsess. While I wouldn't say it looks like new, it looks absolutely great now for a 13 year old top.
