Hi, I have a 67 roadster with a/c. Does anyone know if tinted glass, windshield and side glass, was optional or required with a/c. Thanks

The only tinted glass that came automatically with A/C was the rear window on a coupe. RPO A02 was tinted windshield only, RPO A01 was all glass tinted, and the tinted glass option wasn't required with any other option.

Thanks again, I have a soft-Ray (tinted) on the drivers side vent AS2 JA (MAY 66) M54, the other three are not marked soft-ray, their numbers are drivers door AS2, TA (AUG 66) M54, passenger vent is AS5 JA (MAY 66) M51, passenger door AS5 TA (AUG 66) M51.
The car has an Oct 31, 66 build date and I am wondering which one(s) is/are correct. The front windshield has been replaced so that doesn't help.

I appreciate your help. Thanks

All '67 original side glass (door and vent) was marked "AS2" and "Solid Tempered", along with the L-O-F logo and date code, plus the "M51" code for clear glass or the "M54" code for tinted glass. Cars built before December will say "Soft Ray Safety Plate" on tinted side glass. All original side glass is solid, some reproduction glass is laminated - check the edges.

The "M-" numbers are manufacturer codes for glass style and tint. Glass for Corvettes was made in batches due to the low volume, and glass is the only exception to the NCRS 6-month rule for dated components - up to 12 months prior to the car's final assembly date will still get full judging credit, although it's not "typical".
