mini starter
i have a 1966 vette, 350 engine with headers to side pipes.
i want to go with mini starter, i have the R and S wires going to starter.
mini starter has only one lug hookup for the s wire.
jegs sells R wire diode kit, they said, just attach the R wire to the diode and put it on same lug as S wire.
has anyone done this?
how does that work?

My 65 has a small starter on a 383. The only way I can describe this to you is to connect the purple wire to the small terminal on the starter. All other wires are connected to the large terminal. I didn't need anything else. It works.

When your starter is engergized, the R wire would receive 12 volts and kick it back to your coil. Since A diode only allows current to flow one way, it would prevent your igntion side of the circuit, through the resistor, from activating the starter when you relese the key from start to the on position.
