Default Rear sway bar end link bind question

On a 66 Coupe, is it unusual for the rear sway bar to get in a bind by having the connecting link turn back and down rather than up? We had this problem on the 66 after a body off restoration but didn't have any problem with it for the first 80,000 miles. My bet is that we got something installed wrong or have some incorrect connecting links or sway bar. Or else the stackup of tolerances now allows the bar to go low if jacked up or let off the jack in a certain sequence.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Never mind. I think this problem is unique to thie car, due to some parts irregularities.
