Help...Friend looking for PPG paint code...
Hello,
I just got a call from a freind that has a 64 riverside red coupe. He is going to repaint in PPG base/clear. He says that the sample/code that his supplier is giving him - is too red. Does anyone happen to have the correct paint code for PPG?

Here it is....70961. I got it from the following web site: http://www.corvettepaintcodes.com/
I used their PPG code for my 59 Roman Red and it worked out fine...

Here is their response to your help...
Hi, Dave. Thanks alot for doing that, and it's great that someone
responded so quickly. That is the paint code that keeps showing up, so we are going for it! Last night we found one tiny spot of thicker paint inside door and it's a match with the PPG 70961 paint sample Tom painted yesterday. The rest of the paint inside the door is just a light coat like overspray, so that red paint looks darker. And you don't know if the person who painted it previously had the exact red. Better to be safe than sorry, as it's a major undertaking! The painting will begin this weekend!
