I know this subject has been rehashed but i need some help with specifics. i have a 60 with a 350 , auto. It was orginally a stick, as the clutch pedal is still there tucked up. Before i start buying parts to change this into a 4 speed, can some one give me a list of what is needed that will fit. I'm anxcious to start buying parts(because I'm an idiot and that's what I do best). thanks
No, you're not an idiot. The list is long and I know I would leave something out. I would suggest you get a catalog from one of the Corvette suppliers, Corvette America for one, and start buying. Don't forget the little things like spings and rubber bumpers. It's the little things that hold your project up.

I think the best place to look to determine what all you will need is the AIM. It has an exploded view of the clutch mechanism/linkage. I can't remember if the ST-12 has that same drawing; it would probably be helpful, too.
Sounds like you have a good start if the clutch pedal is still there.
bellhousing, fywheel, clutch and pressure plate, cross shaft, pivot which bolts to bellhousing, transmission and shifter (I have a muncie), trans crossmember?, driveshaft, desire, ability,
How soon are you going to do it?
My car is sililar to yours. '60 350/PG/RED!its always been a PG. I'm gathering the parts to do the same swap in about a month. I spent $305 yesterday at Corvette America getting all the little crap. I ordered 22? items, and only one was on backorder. I can start making you a list of stuff, but I'm not sure how complete my pile is vs. what I will need.
My goal is to have it all there, ready to install in one shot. I don't wanna be held up and unable to drive it home because I don't have one tiny part.
I'll keep you updated...
i want to do this as soon as possible. please post or email me that list. that would help a lot. what transmission are you using? I was told all the original parts will bolt right on the 350. is that true? will the drive line need to be changed? are you using a mechanical or hydraulic clutch? please keep me posted. thanks again.

I'm maybe getting a Muncie 4speed this weekend. I'm swapping a broken late '61 T10 for that 4 speed. A friend has it in a '62 that's been sitting around since '70. I'm going to drag my stash of goodies over there to compare them with the parts in the '62 to assure that they're the same/similar. It all should bolt on to the 350.
I was told on an earlier post that the driveshafts are the same, but the yokes are different between 4speeds or PG.
Mechanical clutch. I want it to look like the car was born a 4speed car.
Do you have a Corvette America catalog? it has a nice exploded view of a lot of the stuff we need.
may be a dumb one here, but if my tranny died and i had to buy a new one for my 66, i would go back with a 5 speed. why, mostly for highway. i mean you go to be going about 75 or 80 to blend with traffic and my rpms start getting up there, that and engine noise. i always wish i had a 5 th to put in there. just a thought. since you are buying. good luck. sounds like a project.
I'd like a 5th gear, but I'm gonna end up with a 3.36 or 3.55 rear, so I'm not too concerned about it. Is a 5speed avail that isn't a big chore to install?
