Default Transistorized ignition problem

Purchased a rebuilt TI distributor, module, wire harness and correct GM reproduction coil to return my car to it's original configuration. Started once, needed to move the distributor over one tooth to get the timing right, now no spark. Have battery voltage where the braided white wire get power from the ignition lead, have 12 volts where the white wire conects to the coil, but when I attach it to the coil, the voltage drops to 3.25 volts. Have rechecked my connections, ground, and everything appears to be connected properly, did the tests shown in the service book on the coil, it appears OK even tried a different HO coil with out success. Have I fried the TI module? Any dirrection would be appreciated, Thanks, Rick

Check the 2-wires going from harness into the distributor to make sure neither are touching ground, they connect from the wire harness to the wire-coil inside the dist via "T" shape harness connector, you had to un hook this connector to pull the dist.

Make sure your transistor unit has a good ground.
Years ago, I placed a seperate ground wire on the unit and ran the other end to the alternator gnd post.

Just a couple of things to check, hope it helps
