What's the best place to get a vintage automotive clock restored? Anybody heard of Phidon Restorations in Idaho? They sell some refurbished guages and clocks on Ebay and have very good feedback.
This winter I purchased a quartz conversion kit (Corvette Central, $69.95) took about an hour to remove the clock, clean it up and install the kit. I ran it on the bench for 3 weeks before reinstalling it. You can't tell the difference and it works perfectly. On a difficulty scale of 1 to 10 I make this a 3 (very simple).

I purchased a C1 clock fronm Rogers Clock in Knoxvill this past weekend. I just ran it on the bench for about an hour, all ok. It looks good, but I will have to run it longer. It is quartz, so I figure it will last a while. I paid a 140.00 plus my old clock.
Hope this helps you make a decision.
