What are the relays for? I am very interested in being able to see where I go at night, and thinking of buying these.
That's funny. In the guys add he stated "No Wiring Modifications Needed". If you have to use a relay, then these units must draw more juice than the original wiring can handle. There are some more ads for Xenon headlights at the bottom of this page.

Look down.............look way down.
It's not that the wiring harness can not handle the power it's the head light switch. All of the power for the headlights goes thru the headlight switch on our corvettes. With the original setup you have a reduced voltage to the lights due to the headlight switch. If you wire in relays for your current setup you maybe surprised with the results just because of the actual 14vdc being presented to the lights. I have not personally done this upgrade but will be in the short future because it just makes sense. There was a link sometime in the past to a site that showed exactly what you need to do to make the system work. Dave.
I installed the same basic setup; I had the relays from http://www.madelectrical.com/electrical-tech.shtml but hadn't installed them, when I put the headlights in and turned them on they would keep tripping the stock resetable fuse for the headlights, after I installed the relays I didn't have a problem, you use one relay for the high beam (both sides) and one for the low beam (both sides) they are a lot brighter and I had already changed to regular Halagon's, but this is a much better setup if you want to see and don't care if your car is completly stock.
Be aware these are not Xenon headlights, they are Xenon filled at best and have a blue glass to look like Xenon. Xenon lights are high voltage lights (less power) and need a balast to work. You can get the same result with regular H4 / halogen headlights. They do not cost $100.00.
You can get the same result with regular H4 / halogen headlights. QUOTE] put halogen's in four different classic cars way to go. No need for additional wiring safe and you can swap back to the old lights & be ready for the classis car show in no time.

I would agree. Basically they're either high or low quality knock-offs.
