I've noted in the archives that people have had no issues with mounting 15x6 Torq-Thrust D wheels on disc-braked midyear cars. The part number bandied about that works is 105-5661.
Got the car off the alignment machine yesterday, all ready to roll after 15 months on jackstands ('motor rebuild', which turned into 'motor + complete suspension & driveline refurb'), and have finally gotten sick of my steel wheels and cheesy hubcaps.
But...AR now ('now' = 'today') seems to think that Torq-Thrust D's won't fit. They're pointing me to Torq-Thrust II's, which aren't to my taste. I have D's on a vintage Ford race car...want D's on the Vette.
Any updates...I think there are some TTD users out there...???
Bought my chrome TTDs new in fall 2002. Just got my disc brakes in the mail Friday. Took the rotors and a calipers out to the garage and took a wheel off and held my breath...
So far so good. If the clearance issue is only related to the caliper hitting the wheel its not even close. No problem on 11" rotors.

Perry,
I think the disc brake setup your adding to your C1 uses a big Chevy single piston floating caliper, and all of the TTD's fit that version. It is the C2/C3 Vette calipers that are an issue with "some" of the TTD wheels.
The TTD's I purchased in 1970 for my 66 Vette fit just fine, but the TTD wheels I bought in 2000 for my 62 will not fit on C2/C3 Vettes with disc brakes (that use the OEM caliper). I tried, since I was going to add C2/C3 OEM calipers to my 62, but they would not clear, and I ended up with the big Chevy single piston caliper disc brake system instead.
I had "heard" that some of the new TTD's (since I bought mine in 2000) have corrected that error, and now will fit on C2/C3 Vettes with the OEM calipers, but I do not know that for a fact.
Initially, the re-introduced TT D's from American didn't fit over the large C2 Kelsey Hayes disk brake calipers like the originals did but the TT II's did fit. I also have heard rumors that they fixed the problem and the new D's do fit. I run 6" "old style" Torque Thrusts on my 67 without any problems.
Well, I've ordered a set of 15x6, so I guess I'll be the 'medical experiment' on the current stock of TTD's. I'll post what I find when I 'try-fit' a wheel on the car, before I mount any tires.
