Default Difference between hubs??

What is the difference between the 63-64 front wheel bearing hubs and the 65-67 hubs?? Will the 68 up hubs fit the 65-67 spindles?? Dont they just have larger bearing in the 68 up??

68 and up use different spindles and steering arms. Yes they have larger bearing.

Actually, the bearings were the same from 1963 to 1968. In 1969 they went with the larger bearings. In 1968 they changed the steering knuckle arms and in 1969 they changed the caliper mounting bracket. The 1969 spindles will work on a mid-year if you change out the rotors, caliper mounting brackets, steering knuckle arms, bearings, seal and dust cap.
I know this because I couldn't find good used spindles for my '66 so I upgraded to the newer stuff.

You are right, rotors are the same but the hubs are not. I replaced mine as an assembled unit. I also don't think 65 to 68 front hubs are available any more.

I upgraded my 64 drum brakes to 65 front disc brakes using the stock 64 hubs. After installing longer wheel studs, everything matched up fine. Of course I haven't road tested it yet, body is still on a dolly.
