Default Need some C2 pricing help

CO-worker wants to start looking for a 64-67 convertible with AT, AC and base engine. He's not interested in NCRS/Bloomington certs, this will be a nice weather driver. He's also not interested in numbers matching motor/trans. Since most of my experience is in C3 & C5 I'm coming to the experts. He already owns 2-3 classic MBenz. What price range can he expect?? Any one year better/worse than another??
Also prefers as local (Ohio) as possible......

Anywhere from $45,000 to $65,000 for matching # small block roadsters with AC depending on pedigree and condition. You'll pay a little less for a 64 than a 5 to 7.

Sorry I misread your post. For NON MATCHING #s you should be able to get one around $35,000 to $42,000 depending on condition and options.

If he doesnt want to restore it i would think that he could pick one up for around 40,000 that has a small block ac at and is non numbers matching. for 65,000 i'll build him one with a better engine, at, and aftermarket ac

I would think he could get this done for under 40k. There are PLENTY of nice drivers out there in the 30-35k range, ESPECIALLY with the AT and a non-numbers matching motor, and possibly a re-paint.

Aftermarket AC would run about 2k installed (where as a car with original ac is going to carry a 5-7k premium over a non ac car).

I agree with what Capevettes said about the 64, and in the roadster case, it applies to 63's as well (the 63 split window coupe is a different story).

What I would advise for value is to look for a nice 63-64 roadster with a newer 350 engine in it, and that has been painted a non-factory color. Those are the things that send most 'corvette guys' running for the exits. Use that to your advantage.
