I just got back from Carlisle, and have had about 2 hrs sleep in the last 48 hrs, so I'm liable to say anything.

Just to set the record straight.

First this section is not C1-C2 tech. It is C1-C2 tech and general. Therefore you can post any commentary or facts to any thread.

Some of the best threads combine the two working together.

I had great fun with the VNV Thermostat housing thread. Facts, humor, and entertainment wrapped up in one neat little package.

Some people are just way too serious.

I've never bashed anyone's car, even if I don't like it, or them. I only question the intrinsic value of matching numbers and the logic behind the matching numbers is better mentality.

All lawyers are pure evil.

The whole thing is GWB, Exxon-Mobil and Halliburtons fault.

These are irrefutable facts so there is no need to post again in this thread.

get some rest before you actually stumble into some intelligent thoughts - but how was the trip?

From the guidelines section:
Hijacking a thread is coming into an existing thread and posting messages which are irrelevant to the original thrust of the thread. It is inappropriate in most instances, so please don’t do it.

The exception is as follows:

On a non-serious thread in the Off Topic section, it is okay to “hijack” a thread if it is done in fun and the originator of the thread has specifically stated in the initial thread or in his signature affixed to the first post that hijacking is welcome.

stand back Grey, he's in an unstable state at present, and liable to blow . . .

note for the record - Grey was kinda just reporting on historical things, albeit from a perspective, but I don't have him down among the group I shall refer to as the "still pissed off" folks - not to start in on THAT again

Just probing to see if he blows his stack He did ask, and I responded with the rule. He must not like the answer. I don't wear my feelings on my shirt sleeve and will go toe to toe with anyone. I CAN'T BE INTIMIDATED.

Glad you don't have me in that pizzed off group. I'm not one of them. I have travelled throughout the U.S. and met lots of wonderful people. I honestly don't judge by geography. I'm just proud of my heritage and love history.

I even remember when he started on this forum. One of his first post was did anyone understand his handle

Apparently Northern wit and sarcasm are lost on you simple southern folk.

I was not linking you with the bad element. I have always enjoyed our verbal sparring and assumed you felt the same as you never sent any nasty-gram PM's

You have every right to be proud of your heritage. I could care less whether you're from N. Carolina or Timbuktu. Good people are good people. I even like that Dave fella from down your way. As a matter of fact I grew up in Texas and don't really care for the North to much, and I find some merit in the Hank Williams Jr. song "If the south woulda' won we'd a had it made.

note for the record - Grey was kinda just reporting on historical things, albeit from a perspective, but I don't have him down among the group I shall refer to as the "still pissed off" folks - not to start in on THAT again

You should know better than to think I was serious. How many irrelevant and irreverant posts have I made ? How could I possibly chastise someone for that?

Ghost if you need help with the big words PM Jack. He's one a' them high fallutin' lawyers and can explain it to ya'

I know; I was responding to the rich Conn. lawyer.

I never take any of this serious. I have worked with computers for 20 years. Back in the 1980's when we only had BBS's, later on the newsgroups and email. I learned back then you cannot see a facial expression. You learn that MOST are joking around and thank goodness for smilies.

I'm going to bed. We'll argue more later

Quite an attitude from a newcomer looking for advise to an easy question. I see that there are more posts back and forth now and his tone has changed a bit

It seems to me that I am also driven by a logical mind but often I keep the less important and abrasive questions to myself [I guess it's the non-lawyer coming out in me]. I'll make an exception. I don't see any reason to start a b/s discussion with an inane question like that. It never fails to make me wonder why some people with NO technical knowledge on a tech board seem to HAVE to put their 2 bits in instead of listening. And yes, I can read, I do know where JohnZ answered.
You asked........

I thought I had the answers I needed and did not check back in to the Forun. What I found this morning was that a bunch of the responses have disappeared, a discussion which seems to be close to verbal warfare and not close to a simple problem related to gas supply to the carb. I never did check back on the other Forum because I had (apparently wrongfully) assumed it would notify me of new respnses like this one does.

I am not sure who to thank at this point, but thanks. car runs fine even with it's non standard carb and standard mechanical fuel pump like they had back in the day.
