I am having the windshield and weatherstrip replaced on my 63 coupe. The glass shop says that the trim, windshield and weatherstrip all come out and reinstall as a unit. In other words at one time. Is this correct or do I need to find another shop. How about the rear glass, is it the same HELP!!
Terry
The stainless moldings around both of your windows are held in by clips that are NOT a part of your gaskets. The windsheild has its own gasket. It is sealed both to the glass AND to the frame using two different sealants.

May I make a suggestion, buy the OEM trim clips, they tend NOT to break.
The off shore trim clips, Do tend to break. If this happens, ya gotta take the window back out to replace the clips.
My 2.2 cents.

I did not know you could get OEM clips. Are they available for the rear glass also.
