Car leaves in a couple of weeks to get the new jig fit nose clip and remaining glass work done. Then the remainder of the mock up work can be done to get the LS7 installed, plumbed, wired and fired up. Lot's of work ahead, but it's been a blast so far.

My #1 son.

I'm on dial up and it isn't working worth a darn this morning. I'll try to add more later. But, in the mean time, the car was brought to me as a mako type mod'ed Vett. All four wheel wells had been flared, a rear upper spoiler had been fibeglassed on, and the old three tailight modification had been done. The car is now in its final paint process and I will add pictures as I get my dial up to work.

Continued...this is the best picture of the stripe as it was; basically a stinger stripe that turned into a wide stripe at the windshield opening, over the roof then back to one wide stripe on the rear deck. This job was to put the fenders back to OEM, remove the stripe, remove the rear deck flair along with the wheel flares, and change the three tail lights back to two.

Ahh-HA, I did find a picture of the front before I started;

April 30, continued. I promised somebody I would post pictures of how I fixed the windshiel post cracks so prevailent on these cars. You may think it a little unorthodox, but I have never had a crack return. I only hope he finds these so he doesn't think I forgot about him.

(Sorry if the pictures came out BIG...I'm still learning!
April 31, wow and to think someone did those repairs (below) on purpose!
For those I owe, for those that missed the story, this was a '67, re-done in , best that I can determine 1983. Installed was a 'mako' type flare kit with rear spoiler and the three light option. The owner didn't want to replace the entire front clip but he did want it put back to OEM as much as poossible. To get to the chase, the car is finally done with all it's bodywork, painting will start today ro tomorrow, depending on weather.

Ooops continued page 2-administrator, if need be do not hesitate to remove any pictures at any time!

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

.

The car didn't look too bad when I got it. It wasn't until I started dismantling it that I found out what a piece of crap it was. My 2 year , $20.000 resto has now turned into 10 years, $80,000.

The rear end will be done this weekend, and will be getting cadillac discs and Edelbrock shocks. the strut rods have poly bushings. If I get the brake lines done, I may drop the engine on Sunday.
Update pics will be posted here.
