Car Insurance
I just bought a 1964 corvette convertible and was wondering the best place to get insurance. The agent I have been working with uses American Collectibles but I gave him a check last Wednesday and here it is Tuesday of the following week and they haven't even processed my application yet. That means no coverage!! Needless to say I am frustrated. I have driven it everyday without coverage since I just couldn't wait. I currently drive a company vehicle so I have no existing personal coverage to piggy back on. They say that is what is taking so long.

BTW Redrider I'm also from Jax. Couldn't find anybody in town or even in the state for that matter who could give me the price and quick service I got from Hagerty.
So I could drive the car right away Hagerty gave me a temporary 30 day binder right over the phone while I got the paperwork to them.
They have excellent customer service.

There certainly are a number of carriers out there, but if you check the archives, you will find that Hagarty is very popular with this Forum. I switched to them recently from American Collectors. Obviously, the proof is in the claims process, but a number of folks here have reported satisfaction in that troubling arena........

"Did you take the pic of your emblem? It came out really clear."
Yep. I use a Sony Mavica digital and Adobe Photoshop to clean them up.

Re: Car Insurance (Blkblt)
Any insurance agent worth his salt will give you a "binder" over the phone and fax the certificate to you; no reason to wait for all the paperwork to be processed. Call him and ask for a binder so you can drive the car - if he won't give you one, get another agent who knows what he's doing.
