Centerforce II vs. Hays (clutch pressure plate)
I ordered both of these and did a side by side comparison. They are both marked "made In Brazil" by Sachs. The pressure plate cover (heavy sheet metal part) and fingers are identical on both. The clutch discs appear to be made of the same identical basic parts also, same fricion material too.
The only differences that I can see are the rivets. Some rivets are brass or hollow head steel on the Hays, the Ceterforce has solid head steel and are all steel. Also the Centerforce II has the centrifugal weights of course and the Hays doesn't . Both units appear to be of the same overall quality.
Just an update on my clutch upgrade, I am going with the Centerforce II.
