If you would fill in your profile, people may be more inclined to help you out.

You don't have to put in your street address, but a general area would be good.

If you shop around a little, you can find one for about $5400. Try Scoggin Dickey, Salee, and Pace. They are all pretty competetive.
I lucked out and got a 0 mile LS2 out of a car that was destroyed in a train accident coming from the factory. I got the engine, trans, computer, Harness, and all accesories for $7500 including shipping.
It is all the little bits and pieces that will really add up on one of these.

Then I stand corrected about all of them being competitive, that is about a thousand dollars more than you can find it for if you shop around a little. Try Fred Beans as another source, and don't forget to try your local dealer. A friend of mine builds resto-mods for a living down in Sequin Tx, and the local dealer sells them to him for $5300 shipping included!
One of the real problems right now on LS2 engines, is that the 2005 and 2006 engine are different and not compatible with each other's control system. Everybody is currently selling the 2005 engine since there is no control system available for the 2006 engine at this time. There will come a time pretty soon, when the supply of 2005 engines drys up, but hopefully, the aftermarket will have the PCM cracked by then. The 06 LS2 has a 58X reluctor ring just like the LS7, while the 05 Ls2 had the 24X reluctor ring like all the LS1 engines. It is only a matter of time before everybody has a control system for the LS2/LS7 engines and You will probably not see GM selling 06 LS2 engines until a control alternative out there for them. You can buy the GM computer, but it is usless until someone is able to crack the code and turn off all the unused functions, so you can use the engine in an eariler car.
