What company do you use to insure your mid-year Vette (value $50K+) and are there major limitations such as miles per year, etc.?

I have my 1965 coupe insured for $ 24K, with J C Taylor. I really didn't think there were any reals ones around worth over $ 50K.

Had Hagerty but switched to Grundy because they would insure my 87 Vert and Hagerty would not. Had a minor claim (rear quarter, $500) on my 64 coupe. Was extremely pleased with the service. No hassle, took it to the shop of my choice, got a quote and had a check before it was out of the shop.

Cheers
Steve

Mine's a C4, but I have an agreed value policy for $24k with Atlantic Mutual. No limitations or useage restrictions of any kind. It's up to me what I do with my car. You might want to check them out when you're shopping around.

Be well,

SJW

=======
ABOVE is pretty standard fro collector car Insurance ...

BUT I use American Collectors...(actual company is American Bankers of Florida) to Insure my 64 72 76 79 AND 98 Vettes...

Under $1000 TOTAL per year.... But honestly that is not the point...
Wrecked my 79 5-6 years ago...ABSOLUTELY no hassle getting it fixed (to my satisfaction) at the place I wanted to take it (Shop did plenty of Corvettes)...

ONLY Problem was waiting 3-4 days for them to get an Adjuster out to look at the car...They use Adjusters who are CAR GUY's. Mine happened to be into Mopars..but he understood my concerns ESPECIALLY using the correct parts to repair my car...

State Farm

Agreed Value $65,000 on my 65, $20,000 on my 94.

2500 miles per year limit for each car
have to have all my cars insured with them

Annual premium for the 65 = $200
Annual Premium for the 94 = $238

Default State Farm

$300.00/yr for my '67 sb vert with:

$35k stated value
$300k/$300k liability
$500 deductible collision and comprehensive

4,000 mile/yr max (I think; it never gets driven that much anyway)
no commuting permitted
recreational use only
must belong to a club or organization

Also with the same company / agent:
'92 corvette
'99 Durango
'67 Mustang
'00 Harley
'04 Toyota Camry CNG fueled (the daily driver)
and homeowners insurance

They do discout for multiple cars and multiple coverage lines!
