Default Head casting #s

Hello forum memebers
I need assistance with identifying these heads I am upgrading my heads to help with the performance of my new crane cam, Holley carb and edelbrock RPM AIR GAP. The casting numbers are 878246 or 8?1
G or Q or O173 GM 6 uppper left corner the number13 this is the driver side head I have not taken the passenger side off yet do thes belong to a 65 Roadster or ? The previous has had the car for 19 years but seems to think that this is not the correct mtr for this model year as he had it rebuilt about 7 years ago. I plan on insatlling dbl springs and a 3 angle valve job when they go out to the machine shop

As always any advice / assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like 3782461 - those are good heads, used from '61-'66, in both 1.94" and 2.02" valve sizes. G 17 3 is July 17, 1963. Make sure your new valve springs are matched to the cam manufacturer's recommendation for installed height, coil clearance, open pressure, and retainer-to-guide clearance for the cam's lift, not just generic "hot-rod" springs. If the cam calls for double springs, you probably won't be happy with it in a street engine.
