Well I been messing with rear suspension and measurements and a bit of test fitting and just for sh$9s and giggles I am going to see how close a 275 tire comes to fitting or not fitting on a 9" rim. Of course AR doesn't make anything wider than 8" for the TTII which works out perfect as always. I like Boyds and Billet, but don't like paying $550 per wheel, and neither does my wife.
So ideally I am looking for a 5.5" backspace on a 9" rim in a style similar to the TTII. Anyone have any pics of other wheels or ideas? Anyone make more custom sizes for less ludicrious prices?
Can anyone tell me what the most BS you can run with the Offset Trailing Arms is? It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
not really but I had 17x8's with 5.5" BS and had a tiny bit of room where it almost hit the tub in the rear of the car...I was only running tires that where in the 245 range...not 275's...I aint saying they wont fit on a car that has flares or larger rear fenders but not on anything stock.
same here 255/45/17 on 17x8 TTII with 5.5 BS, at least that is the plan still waiting for AR to build them.
I hope you are ok with the dish on the rear. I didnt like the smaller dish on the rear than the front. If you run 17x7's w/4" BS on the front and 17x8" 5.5" BS on the rear...your front dish will be larger than the rear dish. My wheels used to bother me everytime I looked at them. I am a very **** picky person so...if you are OK with that...then I am sure most people wont even notice...most.
