I have one. I haven't installed it yet, but I have assembled the parts. There are a lot of pieces but they go together easily if you follow the directions. I have held the various pieces in place and they seem to fit. Hopefully it will work.
I looked at the Raingear and the Specialty Power Windows kits and I chose the SPC kit mainly because of the simplicity and cost. I have not seen a Raingear kit installed, but from the pictures on their website, it looked rather complicated. With the SPC kit there are no exposed moving parts.
What sort of shipping costs do you have to pay on parts shipped from the US?
Just finished installing the SPC kit in my 60. Not bad to install and seems to work very nice. My dash was all apart when i did this. I think it would be a nightmare if the car was all together. At the very least the gauge cluster and the dash insert must be removed to get the new transmissions in.

do you have any photos of what you did and the progress you made doing it?

I bought the same kit, started to install it, so part of it is in. Where did you mount the motor and transmissions??? I'm still looking for the best place. or best way If you could take a picture of where you put it. I was thinking of making a plate to hold motor and mount the plate just above passenger side kick panel.
The SPW kit is #WWK-5762V-21. Don't think it is listed on their web site. It is the same kit sold by Corvette Central but you can save considerably by buying from a SPW dealer. Be advised that this kit comes with a 2 speed plus intermittent switch and the switch will NOT fit in the stock wiper mounting hole.
I mounted my wiper motor on the frame behind the passenger side kick panel. The kit comes with a mounting bracket but I made one with two mounting tabs so that I could remove the entire motor assembly easily. The aluminum tube in the picture contains a flexible rod that moves back and forth, turning the wiper transmissions. Here is a pic:
Sorry I have no pics. But I mounted the motor the same way Charles did. Inside the right kick panel. I bought the kit from Corvette central. It is made by SPW but CC adds the mounting parts for the C1 transmissions. And the out side bezels where the trans comes through the body. The kit comes with alum. tubing you need to bend to get the worm gear to the trans. It is a neat and clean set up. And as Charles said there are no moving parts under the dash. The way the kit is made you can kinda make it work anyway you want. Great minds think alike cause Charles and myself mounted the motor the same way and never talked to each other about it. PS Charles, It was nice meeting you and your wife down in Fla. This past Jan. Hope to see you again. Brian G.
Enjoyed meeting and talking with you down in Florida last January. After reading your post I looked in the CC catalog and, you are correct, the CC kit does include the outside bezels. The CC kit also has a different style switch and, from the appearance in the catalog, it will fit in the stock mounting hole. So I guess you do get more from CC for the higher price. In my case I mounted the wiper switch on the center console and used the stock wiper hole for another switch.
