Melting Slicks
I used Airborne:

They are right outside of Charlotte and many of the NASCAR and NHRA teams use them. I used them ~4 yrs ago for the coating on my Hookers on the 69 and was close enough to save shipping by dropping them off and picking them up. You can see them by clicking my profile for a large pic of my 69. At the time, they were cheaper and had a better warranty on coating used parts versus Jethot.

I have ThermoTec header wrap on mine. Wait, is that a coating? Well, all I know is that I could drive all day through a desert, open the hood, touch the headers and not get the slightest burn.
Coatings DO look better though.

I am looking for the best coating for a set of super comps and was thinking of Jet Hot. I noticed you were looking for other recommendatons. Has anyone had problems with Jet Hot?

A couple of others are VHT and Bill Hirsch header paint. I think the Hirsch paint had the highest temperature.
I have been waiting for VHT gray in spray cans for two months. Jegs billed me, but they were out of stock and backordered by VHT.
Has anyone used either of these?
I have the Hirsch in a can that you brush on. When the manifold heats up it smoothes out and finishes curing according to the instructions.

I used the paint from the company that makes POR-15 on an old set of Hedmans that I bead blasted and still looks good after a few thousand miles. Cheap and easy!
Here's what they looked like before installation....
And you can see a bit of them in this pic after a year or so...
