I want to bypass my heater core since I don't need heat and when I drive that bugger down here in Texas it blows hot air constantly. What is the best way to do it? What are the dangers/downsides if any?
I was thinking that some kind of T fitting would do the trick? Or rerouting a hose or two?
Anyone else done this? My feet are burning up. (firewall and floor pan is insulated - heat is coming from heater vents)
I'm assuming your car does not have A/C. You could also install a shut-off valve in the heater hoses to keep coolant from circulating through the heater core, then open the valve on the rare instance you want heat.
