I have a new set of American Racing Torq Thrusts and I'm looking for a set of spinners for them. I know AR sells a set, but I'm looking for a set that more closely resembles the spinners found on the old Halibrands.
Anyone know of either a source for those or any other spinners that would fit the wheels?
I also own a 62 with TT's. The spinners they sell will not fit your front wheels. I purchased a set and had to return them. As far as I can tell you will need to find spacers for any set you purchase.
I have some tt2s on order....I have seen and would like to find a spinner or even just a cap that has a vette cross flag logo or something more 'vetteish' than the AR logo cap. I have seen a some things on ebay that look sorta like what I want....adapter to fit the factory spinner to the AR wheel (but they are expensive and the factory spinner doesn't quit look like it belongs, I have also see a center piece but the ones I saw were red and gold, and I'd really like something like black and silver.
Yes, that is Goodwood Green, GM's version of British Racing Green (BRG) although they could not name it that for copyright reasons. So they named it after the Goodwood racing track in Britain. Many comments at shows about the uniqueness of the colour although it was the most popular in 1967. I guess many went re-sale red.
I just purchased a set of Torue Thrust D's and a set of AR "Carlisle" spinners. They do fit and look pretty good. Paul, your wheels look great on your coupe. Are they Torque Thrust D's? One of my wheels is backordered (I have only 3). I am anxious to receive the 4th wheel so I can get them mounted.

I have a set on my Salt Flats. I got them from that catalog that sells garage stuff. Genuine Hot Rod Hardware. WWW.genuinehotrod.com. Or 1800 575 1932. The part numbers are 32180012 for the 7 degree ones or 32180112 for the 20 degree ones. They are not cheap but very well made. I would take a pic of the 66 but it is out being detailed. I just don't have time to clean cars.
American Racing "Carlisle" spinners look very close to Halibrands--I have the Carlisles on my '64 Vette's American Racing Torq Thrust D's, and love them. They look very close to the set of mid-'60's GT40 Halibrands (no longer on a GT40, unfortunately!) parked right next to the Vette.
Terry Vaughan, Mr. Torq Thrust, sold me my set of four at a price meaningfully lower than list price.
If you do a search for "Mr. Torq-Thrust", you'll find his email address from a recent response I made to a thread on C2 Wheels. Terry is a pleasure to deal with.

Thanks AWORKS, the 20 degrees are exactly what I'm looking for. Unfortunately they are on back order - about August 7th. Oh well, they'll be worth waiting for. As another member mentioned, a Corvette emblem would be nice and these have a clear center to apply them to - a great solution. Thanks again for the link and advice.

Yes thanks those look promising, but as a question if you wanted to have a corvette center where would you find such a thing and how would you apply it? I also suppose you could mill it into the AL but that takes some time, talent with a mill that I don't have.
ACtually I have seen those before and they might be something I would buy if they come in black instead of red....where did you get them?

The center emblems came out of my "in storage stock" from way back. I had originally purchased them for a 70 Vette I had back in the 70's/80's. I have not seen these emblems offered for many years. Have seen a crossed flags version (in both red and black versions), but not the "Corvette" labeled version. Saw them at a couple of different swap meets up in Illinois, but not down here in FL (we moved down a year ago).
