Default Oooh, a '58 with no '58 parts...

Here's what everyone is looking for... a '58 with no '58 hood, no '58 trunk irons and no '58 gauges!!! It makes the re-assigned VIN tag even more attractive.

Why, it could be a '59 or a '60!

Passenger side instrument panel trim plate looks like a 1960 with the letters painted black (1958 they were painted white) and 1960 color bars above and below "Corvette".

Tach is a 1960. Hood is a 1959-1960.

If it looks like a duck...

Reassigned VIN would make be reason enough for me to stay away

It's a '60 model... no doubt!

items I noticed without paying any particular attention as being non-'58 but '60, except for those mentionend already:

Door cards, hood latches, package tray, rear stabilizer bar, speaker surround....

Not even a good 59 or 60, either. Undercarriage needs a lot of work. Flowmaster mufflers and incorrect tailpipe routing. Rear end pinion seal leaks and the front suspension looks like it suffers from maintenance. Rear springs are saggers as evidenced by the air shocks. Oil pan and rear main seal look like leakers.

Lots O work to bring it up to my standards!!!!

Vette buyer; just send the 59,900. You can have your choice, 58,59, 60.... the possibilites are endless. It is a nice looking car. Don't think the crazy bidding will get over 35k though.

With the State of Arizona assigned VIN, you could call it whatever you want. Chuck

Yep, that car is most assuredly a 60 model!

From the suspension I would lean towards a 60. I like the fast steering adapter, though. It's most assuredly NOT a 58.

(One look in the trunk convinced me absoultely - my first Corvette was a 58 and that ain't a 58 trunk!)

You're right, why didn't I think of that? I dig the huge gap in the front hood, too.

Maybe its a Johnny Cash 585960Corvette...
