I have pulled my door panels in preparation to paint. They seem to be originals and in decent shape but with a crack here and there, some scuffing and the major problem is they seem warped. If I can't salvage them I was wondering who makes the 'best' replacement. I know most places have a standard and a deluxe edition.....I would be tempted to do the standard if all I have to transfer is the few chome pieces, but most place seem to mention the deluxe having some other parts for the windows.....not sure what that is, maybe the inner rubber?
I am less concerned about an authentic reproduction than I am about fit and durability....of course they do have to match reasonably well but since my interior is black I figure that should not be a big problem.
I did a bit of forum searching but turned up nothing which tells me I didn't search correctly I suspect. Anyway at the present time who sells reasonably priced, nice fitting door panels?
The last set I looked at ran about $650 for the deluxe pair, to me that seems really expensive for what they are.....Any nice looking Custom jobs out there, I might be willing to consider something like that too, I am pretty sure I could have something made for less than $650
