Ouch! I guess I am going to have to hone my fabrication skills.
I know the price sucks, but do yourself a favor, start out with a good pair or almost good. If your needing gutters, that tells me there will be more then enough work for you to hone in on your fabrication skills.
You might find a pair off and old cage that someone is parting, that is what I did. There were no re pops then. I still had fab work to do, brazing, etc on them. Trust me, the next set will be re pops if they are good stamps. My 2 cents.

My advice? Spend the money if the repros are good. Like Craig, I got mine from an old cage I bought because repros were not being made yet. It was a job getting the good ones off the bought cage, fixing the spot weld holes and otherwise prepping them, getting my old rusted ones off and putting the new ones on. Save yourself a lot of time and effort by getting some that are ready to go.
